Roberto De Zerbi has left Shakhtar Donetsk to become the new manager of Brighton and Hove Albion. The Italian coach has signed a four-year contract with the Premier League club.
De Zerbi, 43, has been linked with a number of clubs in recent months, including Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus. However, he has opted to join Brighton, who are looking to build on their impressive ninth-place finish last season.
De Zerbi is a highly-rated coach who has a reputation for playing attacking football. He has won the league title and Ukrainian Cup in his first season at Shakhtar Donetsk, before leading the team to the Champions League knockout stages this season, where they were beaten by Real Madrid.
