Tulsa Mayoral Race Heads to Runoff between Monroe Nichols and Karen Keith
Keith Endorsed by Former Mayor as Nichols and Keith Advance to Runoff
The race for mayor of Tulsa, Oklahoma will be decided in a runoff election on November 27th between Monroe Nichols and Tulsa County Commissioner Karen Keith.
Former Mayor Endorses Keith
In a letter to the Tulsa World, former Tulsa mayor Dewey Bartlett endorsed Karen Keith in the mayoral race, stating, "Karen Keith is not only the leading candidate, she is the safest choice. Tulsa knows her and she knows Tulsa."
Keith's Platform
Keith, who is currently the leading candidate in the race, has outlined a plan for her first 100 days as mayor, which includes:
- Addressing homelessness
- Improving public safety
- Investing in infrastructure
- Promoting economic development
Keith believes that her experience as a county commissioner and her knowledge of Tulsa will help her to be an effective mayor.
