Lauren Sanchez Talks New Childrens Book

Lauren Sanchez talks new children's book

Sanchez's new book is about a young girl who learns to embrace her uniqueness.

The book is inspired by Sanchez's own experiences as a child.

Lauren Sanchez, the Emmy Award-winning journalist and author, spoke about her new children's book, "Fly With Me," at the Texas Book Festival on Saturday.

The book tells the story of a young girl named Rosie who learns to embrace her uniqueness. Rosie is a curious and adventurous girl, but she is also different from the other kids in her class. She has big ears and feet, and she is always getting into trouble.

But Rosie's differences make her special. She learns to use her unique skills to help others, and she eventually becomes a hero.

Sanchez said she was inspired to write the book by her own experiences as a child. She was often teased for being different, but she learned to embrace her individuality.

"I wanted to write a book that would help kids feel good about themselves, no matter what," Sanchez said. "I hope 'Fly With Me' will inspire kids to be proud of who they are and to never give up on their dreams."

"Fly With Me" is Sanchez's first children's book. She is also the author of the memoir "Chasing Speed."
